If it's not easy, it's not right for you.
If the writing you're doing doesn't come easily to you, it's not right kind of writing for you --- at this time.
A couple of decades ago I wrote romance novels. I found them fun to read, and fun to write. I sold a series of the little books without too much effort.
Then suddenly it became difficult for me to write romance. I was completely bored with the novels, and couldn’t force myself to read the current hot sellers. I thought I was being lazy, and pushed ahead anyway. Ha! A couple of years wasted with tears and trauma and writer's block.
Finally I decided I'd write magazine articles instead, and achieved instant success. Sometimes you need to stop what's not working and try something else.
Always write what's FUN for you -- write what you're enthusiastic about.
