What goes on your writer’s Web site?
You could include:
* a blog (opinion, essays, trials and wins, publishing history -- anything you please)
* your credits
* a work log (helps you to keep your commitments)
* writing samples and clips
* a short bio
* images -- photo albums
* news and views
* links to your clients and published work
* reviews
It’s your site, so include whatever you like.
Stay positive
If you’re looking for interest in your latest book proposal, or are looking for clients for your writing services business, remember that your site is often the first impression visitors have of you and your work.
Please don’t whine! Complaining about the state of the writing industry, your own work, or your reviews does you harm. Don’t do it.
Stay positive -- there’s a lot to be positive about. There has never before been a time when writers could be their own publishers as simply and easily, or when there were so many clients for your writing services. These days, you can write whatever you like, and sell it. So get to work. ;-)
