I had a chat with a writing friend a couple of days ago. He's got several projects he's working on.
I asked him what had happened with the book he was writing when I saw him last. Had he sent out the proposal? He said he was "doing more research".
He's a fine writer, but he has a real challenge with sticking to a project until it's DONE.
From my email, I know that many writers face the same challenge.
Just pick one project and get it out the door
If you never seem to finish anything, put yourself on a writing-diet today.
In the writing diet, you write one project, and only one, and you're not allowed to do anything else writing-related until that project is done and out the door.
Being strict with yourself works, because you can get into a habit of working on multiple projects, and NEVER finishing any of them. This cheats you of growth as a writer, and of satisfaction too.
