Improve your writing by lazy LISTING
I'm a lazy writer. I refuse to strain my brain over any writing I do, and the easiest way I've found to write is to LIST.
Unfamiliar with lists?
Lists make all your writing a breeze.
In fiction, listing can help you to make your writing more sensual. Let's say your hero's walked into a coffee shop where the bad guy is waiting for him... Close your eyes, and see the place in your mind's eye.
Now make a list of 20 things you can see, hear, smell. Sprinkle into the scene as required.
In copywriting, make quick lists of headlines, product attributes, calls to action...
In nonfiction, make lists of research topics, questions the article should cover, titles...
Listing saves energy, because you take the writing process one step at a time. If you learn to use lists in all your writing, you'll make the writing process much more enjoyable and relaxing, simply because it is a PROCESS, and you do it a step at a time. You'll also become a better writer.

This is a great idea! I've told students to include the senses in their writing. If it's cold...cold as what? What does the fire sound like? How would it make you feel?
I'd never thought to make a list.
Thank you
