Your dictionary as a key to a writer's creativity

Got a dictionary? No writer is ever stuck for creative inspiration when there's a dictionary sitting on his desk. Get a paper dictionary to try this process. You're using serendipity, and you need to be able to flip the pages.

Here's how: flip through the dictionary and find FIVE words which are new to you. Now write 200 words, incorporating those five words.

This simple exercise is an excellent way to boost the connection-making/ association powers of your brain - and you'll get inspired.
